To promote and advance the art of taxidermy, the needs of taxidermy, the needs of taxidermists, and the needs of others having a common interest in the art of taxidermy through advocacy, service and education.  We will accomplish this by uniting taxidermists and promoting the highest standards of the taxidermy art, advocating and supporting the conservation of wildlife, working in collaboration with individuals, organizations, the private sector and government agencies, forming strategic alliances and promoting information sharing, monitoring, tracking and supporting legislation that advances and secures the art of taxidermy and MOST IMPORTANTLY; providing education and training services regarding all aspects of the art of taxidermy including providing a variety of technical services to taxidermists, state associations and others who share a passion and love of the art of taxidermy.

The UTA is committed to improving the education of taxidermists and bettering our industry position through provision of service, quality, leadership and integrity.  Service - to build better relationships across the nation through the provision of education.  Quality - to provide the best techniques possible while still being open to new and different possibilities.  Integrity - to maintain the highest possible moral and ethical standard being accountable to our constituents and those who support us.  Leadership - to plan as needed strategically to ensure our longevity and act to guarantee the industry a provider of advocacy to the betterment of the taxidermy industry.
