Artisan Award Recipient

This is Allen Burril of Trophy Mountain Taxidermy and I recently competed at the Utah Taxidermy competition with a life size bear.  At the awards banquet I receimved top honors for best life size mammal (professional ) and the best all around taxidermist for a sockeye salmon, rooster pheasant, and antelope pedestal along with my bear mount.  Then the UTA Artisan Award was the last award to be given out and when they called out my name I didn't believe it at first till they were saying yes it was for me and the bear mount.  It was such an honor to receive this award as it was presented by Ken Walker.  After I had gotten it back to the table it was at least an hour before I laid hands on it again.  Everyone wanted to hold it and see the true beauty of this great award.  I want to personally thank the Utah Association and the United Taxidermy Association for everything, and all the other taxidermists that were gracious enough to vote for my bear.  And all I can say is that it will be displayed proudly in my show room for all to see.. good luck to all competitors and I hope some day you just might get to experience what I did by winning the "ARTISAN AWARD".
